Il Cerretino dispone di cinque appartamenti, ricavati da antichi fienili, situati accanto alla villa padronale, le cui origini si perdono nella notte dei tempi (le prime notizie riguardanti la zona risalgono al IX/X secolo). La sapiente ristrutturazione ha mantenuto vivo il tipico stile rurale toscano, caratterizzato da travi in legno a vista, pavimenti in cotto, pareti in pietra, suscitando un indubbio fascino in chi vi soggiorna. Tutti gli appartamenti, arredati con sobrieta' e gusto, sono dotati di ingresso indipendente, soggiorno, angolo cottura, camera matrimoniale, bagno. A disposizione degli ospiti ampi spazi esterni, arredati con tavoli, e sedie, per chi volesse gustare pranzi e cene immerso nel verde della campagna.

PER RAGGIUNGERCI Prendere l'uscita autostradale A1-A11 ''Firenze Nord Aereoporto'', dopo l'uscita seguire le indicazioni per ''Centro - Porta al Prato'', da Porta al Prato seguire le indicazioni per Viali di Circonvallazione Stadio. Arrivati in Piazza della Liberta' seguire le indicazioni per Bologna. In questo modo imboccherete Via Bolognese. All'altezza del km 10 di Via Bolognese, in corrispondenza della localita' Montorsoli inizia Via di Castiglioni, proseguire per circa 1.6 km fino a raggiungere l'agriturismo (NB l'ultimo tratto di Via di Castiglioni e' strada bianca). Suggerimenti per chi possiede un navigatore satellitare: in alcuni modelli e' necessario impostare ''vaglia'' come citta' di riferimento anziche' Sesto Fiorentino; inoltre puo' essere utile impostare il percorso come pedonale per raggiungere il punto esatto dell'agriturismo.

“Il Cerretino” consists of five apartments which were originally old barns, all situated near a mansion house or villa padronale, whose origins were lost long ago (the first records of the area date back to the 9th and 10th centuries). The expert restructuring has managed to maintain the original, rural Tuscan style characterized by wooden beams, tiled terracotta floors and stone walls all of which create a fascinating charm for anyone spending time there. All the apartments have been designed with classic simplicity and good taste. Each has an independent entrance hall, a living room, a cooking corner, a master bedroom and bathroom. There is also ample space outdoors complete with chairs and tables for those who enjoy dining in the lush, green countryside.
CERRETINO
A village that dates back to the end of the 8th century, Cerretino has been completely restructured with apartments with a panoramic view over Florence. Within 15 minutes by car you are 400metres above sea level surrounded by hills adorned in olive trees, horse chestnut and oak tree forests. The village is connected to the farm “Il Cerretino” which breeds cattle (a breed known as “The Big White”) and produces extra-virgin olive oil with its own unmistakable fragrance and flavour.

GETTING THERE
Take the motorway (autostrada) exit junction A1-A11 signposted “Firenze Nord Aeroporto”, follow signs for “Centro-Porta al Prato”; from Porta al Prato follow signs for Viali di Circonvallazione Stadio. When you arrive in Piazza della Liberta follow signs to Bologna and get onto Via Bolognese. After 10km on Via Bolognese, you will be in the locality of Montorsoli where Via di Castiglioni begins, follow for about 1.6km until you reach an agriturismo (NOTE the last part of Via di Castiglioni is a gravel road).
For those who have access to a satellite navigator we suggest you enter “Vaglia” as city of reference instead of Sesto Fiorentino; furthermore it may be useful put in the pedestrian route to reach the exact point of the agriturismo.

HISTORY
Tiny isolated roads followed by medieval trails are as unknown to as many Florentines, there are quiet alleyways between stone walls or that open up to fields with enchanting views of the city. As well as the beauty of Florence itself, art lovers will find within a half an hours walk La Pieve romanica of Saint Andrea a Cercina (10th Century) and the Cappella di Ceppeto set in the most breathtaking scenery. Within 20km there is Mugello racetrack , one of the most beautiful golf courses in Tuscany (Parco dei Medici) and Lake Bilancino with beaches equipped with water sports facilities. Within 3 km there are shops and little restaurants where you can enjoy typical Tuscan cuisine.
